I miss my sister

Who Has Seen the Wind?

by Christina Rossetti

Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you:
But when the leaves hang trembling
The wind is passing thro'.

Who has seen the wind?
Neither you nor I:
But when the trees bow down their heads
The wind is passing by.

When my sister died, the recently discovered comet Hyukatake came closer to Earth than any other in our lifetime.
Visible with the naked eye, its brilliant tail streaked across the sky, not to enter the inner solar system again for 25,000 years.

The poem by Rosetti was one of her favourites. She was a teacher, and I'm still learning from her, even now.
